So rumors have been circulating as to whether or not Law & Order: SVU alum Chris Meloni would be joining the cast of HBO’s True Blood. Well it’s been officially confirmed that yes, indeed he is.
No word on who (or what) he’ll be playing for certain, but no doubt he’ll be great. The guy starred on SUV for 12 seasons, and what a great opportunity to try something different. Like werewolves and vampires different. A possible new love interest for Sookie? Could be interesting..
According to TVLine, there’s been talk swirling that he’ll play a very powerful vampire. The show’s creator Alan Ball mentioned that he will be instrumental in holding “the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands”.
Sounds good to me. The show’s fifth season is said to commence filming next summer so it’ll be awhile before we’ll get to see what Chris brings. I wonder what other new characters will appear? Time will tell!
